How far ahead do I need to book my vehicle in?
We usually have a full schedule of work but try to be flexible for smaller jobs (less than 40hrs labour) or breakdowns. For bigger projects it’s likely that you’ll need to book in the Unimog several weeks ahead.
How do I know what the work will cost me?
We try to give a budget price to carry out most jobs over the phone or by email. It isn’t possible to predict the cost of repairs such as a gearbox rebuild or cab repairs until the vehicle is on our premises.
Once the Unimog is here we will provide a clear estimate for the work with parts & labour separately identified.
We encourage owners to have our 150 point inspection carried out to give an overview of vehicle condition. We provide a detailed cost estimate to rectify any defects.
Our hourly rate is £90+VAT per hour.
Once the scope of work has been agreed we will keep you up to date and provide photos as work progresses.
How does payment work?
On larger jobs, especially those which involve some specialist fabrication we take a deposit to confirm your booking and we may ask you to pay up front for special order parts.
We provide an invoice at the month end i.e. all work completed during January will be invoiced on 31st January.
All work must be paid for before the vehicle leaves our premises.
Can I split up the work on my Unimog into different phases?
We’re happy to advise on a logical approach towards getting the required work done on your Unimog and we’re happy to split the work up into defined sections to help with cash flow. It is always best to have an overview of the end result you want so that we can work in an efficient manner.
Can you collect/deliver my vehicle?
We use a network of truckers & can arrange transport nationwide at competitive rates.
Can you repaint my Unimog?
We work with a local commercial bodyshop who can carry out all repainting work.
Bodywork & welding is carried out in house by our experienced team.
Do you offer vehicle storage?
Our space is limited but we are happy to store customers Unimogs for a maximum of six months whilst work is being carried out. Off-site storage can be arranged at cost. We cannot offer indoor storage.
Is there a warranty on your work?
All the work we carry out is warrantied against faulty workmanship for 6 months from the date of our final invoice.
Is there a warranty on your parts?
All new parts we use carry a minimum of 12 months warranty. Used parts carry a maximum of 6 months warranty unless otherwise agreed. Copies of our warranty terms can be supplied upon request.
Is my Unimog insured whilst it is in your workshop?
Our insurance covers customers vehicles whilst they are in our custody. Customers must have their vehicle adequately insured on their own policy and inform their insurance company that their vehicle is on our premises.
Our trade plates cover us for road risks during test drives.
